Summer holidays

Welcome to my first blog entry. The intent of this blog is to document my travels to the Middle East. This way, people can read about what I'm up to in Kuwait and I don't have to send mass e-mails. (thanks to Alexis for that suggestion). I am stating it now so I can be sure that I have everything up and running and everyone has the address before I go.

I am currently housesitting and enjoying my summer holiday. I have been doing some swimming and some yoga classes and today I stained the fence. I have also been trying to take care of the endless list of "things to do" before I leave the country. Immunizations, HIV, TB and Hep B and C tests, dental appointments, etc. Does anyone know of someone who wants to buy a 1997 Honda Civic in great condition, under 100,000kms? I happen to have one for sale.

As of today, it's one month until I depart for my new teaching life in Kuwait. I have met several people who I will teach with next year, and I certainly feel welcome. I look forward to this new chapter in my life.

All the best, everyone. Please keep in touch.
